THE HUNT IS ON....

The two visitors have spent all day searching for Mossy.

" I do not understand why no one is worried about Mossy!" says Laura
" They seem to think he is just off getting up to some mischief ! " agrees Kristie " But I know something is wrong!"
After not having seen the little bear all day Laura agrees that alls not well!

" I was surprised when we returned for lunch that even Edward the panda was unconcerned!"
" Yes , he just said don't find him to soon , he was enjoying the quiet!" says an amazed Kristie " Come on lets look for a little while longer before it gets too dark !"

The girls carry on searching " Mossy! Mr Mossy ! " calls Kristie into the bushes along the path. She can hear Laura calling into the bushes on the other side of the path.

They pause for a moment " It's getting very dark ! " says a concerned Laura " We may have to call off the search until morning "
"Yes " Kristie agrees " Lets just take a walk along that last path, then will go back in for a nice cup of Hot chocolate!"

" Oh that sounds lovely " sighs Laura " it's getting quite cold now, I'm glad we borrowed these coats, when we went back earlier "
"Me too! come on lets be quick "

The girls are making their way back down the last path talking softly " My throat feels quite sore from all that calling!"
" Mine too! " agrees Laura " Do you think that maybe it was a dream the noise you heard last night? "
Kristie pauses for a few minutes before saying " Gee I was so sure but the more we search and find nothing the more I begin to think may be it was a dream!" The girls walk along quietly.

Laura who is starting to wonder if there are any marshmallows in the house to go with the hot chocolate realises that she can just hear a faint voice drifting across the distance ' and I have lots of fans and letters and Edward my best friend he'll be so wo..' Laura , is now standing still , trying to make out what direction the voice is coming from. Kristie says " I wonder.." "Shhh " says Laura quickly " Listen I heard Mossy!" the girls stand frozen in place straining to hear ................

    2. If his voice can be heard then he is bound to be fine. I see Laura has borrowed some boots for this outdoor trip (along with the borrowed coat), hers are time consuming to lace up.

  2. Oh my goodness, I wonder what's going on here? I wonder who Mossy is talking to? I think we'll all be on tenterhooks until we find out Dee!

    1. Me Too! I never truly know exactly where a tale will go because it can chose to evolve totally differently as I take the photo's :)

  3. Love how the search has extended into the nightime so giving us rare views of your magical garden and these two delightful (and very concerned) visitors by flashlight. A superb idea and one that I would never have thought of!

Pleased to also see that they have sensibly put on some warm coats and suitable footwear for their night hunt for the missing Mr Mossy. (You can tell that both girls come from good homes with caring families who have obviously already instilled some common sense into them.)

Hot chocolate, with hopefully some Marshmellows, sounds a just reward for their hopefully successful efforts in locating that green emerald bear!
PS. I'm wondering, being of Irish descent, if he was out celebrating Monday's St. Patrick's Day ?

    1. They are very good to be searching for the missing Mossy and very brave to follow the sound of a voice in the fading light not knowing what they will find...

  5. Oh, Mossy! My wonderful Mossy! What has happened to him? Why is it left to two visitors to search for him - that Edward needs to be taken in hand. If he's the bear in charge, he should be organizing the search party.

PS -has Connor turned up at your place? It now seems that he was last seen at the post office, climbing into a box that he'd just had weighed and stamped....Come to think of it, I have no right to point out neglect on Edward's part, since I have no idea where my toddler is.....

    1. Mossy poor Mossy! Poor Edward who is indeed in charge of the bears and with the lot living in the village as more than enough to do than keep an eye on Mossy , who is always getting into scrapes!
The girls are very good to go look for him especially in a garden they do not know in the growing darkness!!

ps No sign of Connor here ! did the post office not remember what was written on the label? he could be anywhere !! and him just a baby...at least Mossy is an adult bear even if he is not the sharpest bear in the hug!!

  6. Mossy may not have turned up in the Emerald Isle, but you can't rule out him celebrating with some distant cousins and now suffering the after effects, and ashamed to show his little face until he's sobered up!

    1. He should be ashamed to show his face if he's been off drinking with his Irish cousins!! He turns totally silly after just one tumble sized glass of the dark stuff!! and he is silly enough already!!!
